Concerning fishing and fishing fees in selected water bodies in Wigry National Park
On the basis of article 102 of Nature Conservation Act from April 16, 2004 I order what follows:
§ 1
1. I define the rules of fishing determined in the regulations of
amateur fishing in selected water bodies of Wigry National Park
constituting the appendix 1.
2. I define fees for amateur fishing in selected water bodies of Wigry National Park according to price list in the appendix 2.
§ 2
The order becomes legally valid 01.01.2007
§ 3
The director’s order no 9/2005 from December 2, 2005 concerning the fishing rules and fees is no longer effective.

The regulations of amateur fishing
fishing in selected water bodies of Wigry National Park
(Appendix no. 1 to Director’s order no. 3/2006 from December 18, 2006)
1. Fishing is
allowed on lakes: Wigry, Pierty, Leszczewek, Omułówek, Czarne
near Bryzgiel, Czarne near Gawrych Ruda, Mulaczysko, and Czarna Hańcza
river, within the park’s borders, between the villages of
Czerwony Folwark and Studziany Las, on the basis of bought license.
2. Fishing fee is waived for young people under 14, who can fish within
their own fishery and day limit, but only under supervision of a person
who has paid the fishing fee.
3. Fishing is allowed only during daytime, that is from sunrise to sunset according to calendar.
4. Fishing from boat or from shore is allowed only with two regular
fishing rods or a spinning rod on terms determined in point 7 of those
regulations. During winter ice fishing is allowed only with one fishing
rod.
5. Fishing with the use of a living fish as a bait is forbidden all year long.
6. Fishing European catfish, common whitefish, lake trout and brown trout is forbidden.
7. Fishing pike and spinning is allowed only on lakes Wigry and Pierty
from July 1 to August 31. On other water bodies fishing pike and
spinning is forbidden.
8. Using any fish attractants is forbidden, possession of any
attractants during fishing is treated as violating the regulations.
9. On lakes available for fishing, angling from shore is allowed only in places with no growing reeds.
10. On lake Wigry angling from shore and 20 meter-wide water bordering
area is forbidden (in places with reeds and surface water plants the
area excluded from fishing starts from the border of water plants
toward the middle of the lake) as well as on a stretch from estuary of
Czarna Hańcza in the Hańczańska bay to the Łysocha peninsula. The part
of shoreline excluded from fishing is marked on a map constituting an appendix to this regulation. The ban does not concern angling from land.
11. Angling from boats on available lakes is allowed from June 1 to
October 31 only from boats registered according to current regulations.
12. Mooring can take place only in existing mooring places, and shores
of available lakes not covered by water plants. The part of the
shoreline where mooring is allowed is marked on a map constituting an appendix to this regulation.
13. During angling from boats one must stay away from reeds.
14. On lake Wigry during the period from melting of ice cover to June
15 angling from shore and 20 meter-wide water bordering area is
forbidden (in places with reeds and surface water plants the area
excluded from fishing starts from the border of water plants toward the
middle of the lake) as well as around the islands: Ordów,
Ostrów, Krowa and along the southern shore up to the promontory
in Zakąty village. The ban includes also Brzozowe islands and Kamień
island.
15. Fishing on Czarna Hańcza river is allowed below lake Wigry within
the borders of the park. On a stretch from Wysoki Most to the
park’s border in Studziany Las only using fly lure and plant
lures is allowed.
16. Minimal sizes of fish:
• roach – 15 cm
• perch – 15 cm.
• bream – 25 cm.
• pike– 55 cm.
• other species according to regulations of amateur fishing of Polski Związek Wędkarski - Warszawa 2003.
17. Quantity limits:
• pike – 2 fish per day
• bream – 10 fish
• other species according to regulations of amateur fishing of Polski Związek Wędkarski - Warszawa 2003.
18. Other issues concerning fishing in Wigry National Park not stated
in those regulations are determined by regulations of amateur fishing
of Polski Związek Wędkarski - Warszawa 2003
19. In the case of losing a license duplicated are not given.
20. Violation of the above regulations results in loss of license
without compensation and sanctions determined by the Inland Fishing Act.

Fishing from ice- 10 zł.
One week:
Fishing from shore - 26 zł.
Fishing from boat -31 zł. (01.06 to 31.10).
Fishing from ice- 31 zł.
Two weeks:
Fishing from shore- 40 zł.
Fishing from boat - 48 zł. (01.06 to 31.10).
Fishing from ice- 48 zł.
One month:
Fishing from shore- 60 zł.
Fishing from boat – 78 zł. (01.06 to 31.10).
Fishing from ice - 78 zł.
Half year:
Fishing from shore and ice - 110 zł.
Fishing from shore, ice and boat - 130 zł.
